Bennett McCombs

Bennett McCombs brings high-level collegiate playing experience and a defensive mindset to the SC Elite coaching staff and she has coached at the club level, specifically at the younger age groups, and is focused on developing young athletes. A standout libero and beach volleyball player, Bennett played collegiately at the NCAA Division II level at Carson-Newman University, making an immediate impact with her leadership and consistency in the backcourt.

As a junior in 2023, she served as the starting libero, appearing in 29 matches and 99 sets while recording a team-high 318 digs and 430 receptions. She tallied a career-high 21 digs against Limestone and added backrow kills in matches against USC Aiken and Catawba.
During her sophomore campaign, Bennett appeared in 22 matches and logged 67 digs and 12 service aces, including a strong showing in the SAC Conference Championship match against No. 25 Wingate. She first stepped on the court as a freshman in 2021, gaining early experience with appearances in three matches.
A 2020 All-State selection out of high school, Bennett led her region with 603 digs and was twice named team MVP and all-region. A multi-sport athlete, she also competed in soccer, beach volleyball, basketball, and track, all while excelling in the classroom as a member of both the Junior and National Honor Societies.
Having played and coached at the younger age groups Bennett brings passion, energy, and a deep understanding of the game to SC Elite. She’s committed to helping young athletes grow in skill, confidence, and love for the game.
