Darrell Tasker

TBD

Darrell Tasker brings over two decades of coaching experience and a deep passion for player development to the SC Elite coaching staff. A seasoned leader and systems expert, Darrell has coached across all levels of the game — from middle school to collegiate — and has helped build championship programs grounded in discipline, defense, and competitive excellence.

experience

Darrell served as the Assistant Head Coach at Friends University from 2005 to 2012, where he helped guide the Lady Falcons to back-to-back Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) championships and a national tournament bid. The 2010 Falcons went a perfect 18-0 in conference play, winning both the regular season and postseason titles — a historic season that led to the team’s induction into the Friends Athletics Hall of Fame in 2025.

His coaching roots go even deeper. From 2002 to 2006, Darrell led St. Francis Middle School to multiple Catholic School Athletic League championships, and from 2005 to 2012, he served as co-founder and head coach of Redline Volleyball Club, where he worked with athletes of all ages, ran camps and clinics, and served as the club’s primary recruiter.

Known for his expertise in defensive systems and game strategy, Darrell is a certified referee and a student of the game. He has trained under top coaches including John Cook (University of Nebraska) and Chris Lamb (Wichita State University) through multiple elite coaching clinics.

Darrell holds a B.S. in Quality Engineering from Southwestern College, and outside of volleyball, he enjoys surfing, golfing, beach volleyball, and traveling. He and his wife are proud parents of two grown daughters.

Driven by a passion for the game and a heart for mentoring athletes, Darrell is excited to bring his knowledge and energy to SC Elite.
