Jake Elliott

We’re incredibly fortunate to have Jake Elliott leading our 15 Blue team this season. A respected figure in both the Charleston volleyball community and on the national stage, Jake brings decades of elite-level playing and coaching experience to our athletes.

A graduate of the College of Charleston (Class of 1999), Jake began his coaching journey as a volunteer assistant for the Cougars’ women’s volleyball program during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. After college, he spent 11 years competing professionally on the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals) beach volleyball tour, earning a national ranking among the top 48 players and securing multiple top-10 finishes. He was consistently recognized as the top player on the East Coast and partnered with Olympic gold medalist Riley Salmon during his time on tour.



Jake has represented the United States internationally on the World Tour in Brazil and has competed in tournaments across Italy, Jamaica, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. Despite his global experience, he has remained deeply committed to the Charleston community and to growing the sport at the grassroots level.

Volleyball is truly a family affair for the Elliotts. Jake’s wife, Adria Elliott, is an accomplished coach and former Division I standout at Florida State University, currently serving as the Head Varsity Coach at Lucy Beckham High School and a coach at SC Elite. Together, they bring an unmatched depth of experience, passion, and leadership to the program. Their daughter, Maggie, continues the family’s volleyball tradition as an outside hitter at West Virginia University.
