Anna Murray

Club Owner/Director

& Recruiting Coordinator

Anna Murray became the owner of SC Elite in July 2025, following a transformative year as the club’s Recruiting Coordinator. Initially brought on to assist athletes in the college recruitment process, Anna quickly emerged as a vital leader within the organization — investing countless hours behind the scenes to support players, guide families, and help steer the future of SC Elite with vision and integrity.

experience

Anna brings a powerful combination of strategic vision, professional expertise, and a genuine passion for volleyball. Her sharp attention to detail, clear communication, and ability to build meaningful relationships have positioned SC Elite for long-term growth and success. Backed by a robust national network of college coaches, club directors, former players, and volleyball professionals, she is committed to growing the game, expanding opportunities, and helping athletes reach their highest potential.

With Anna at the helm of SC Elite’s recruiting efforts, our athletes have experienced an exceptional year:

  • 11 players have committed to play college volleyball in 11 months — with more on the way!
  • All 11 received multiple scholarship offers
  • SC Elite athletes have earned $2.8 million in scholarships (and counting)
  • 5 Division I and 6 Division II commitments
  • 3 additional SC Elite athletes currently hold multiple offers and are in the decision-making process

Anna also recently advised an SC Elite-connected DI transfer from the SEC  to a top Big 12 volleyball program. Over the course of just one month, this athlete received a dozen offers from programs across the country, ultimately finding a perfect fit with legendary coaching and championship-level competition.

Anna's transition into recruiting was a natural extension of her professional background: for over twenty years, she worked as an executive search consultant, specializing in financial services, first on Wall Street and after that as an independent consultant. Her career gave her the ability to identify talent, match people with opportunities, and navigate complex, high-stakes environments — all of which she now seamlessly brings to the volleyball world.

Anna’s entry into the volleyball world began, as many great stories do, with curiosity. As the mother of a standout player who would go on to compete and coach at the Power 5 and Division I level, Anna immersed herself in the sport — learning over 15 years from some of the best coaches in the country who generously shared their knowledge and helped shape her understanding of the game.

Anna earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina, during which she spent a year living in Italy, learning the language and studying centuries of architecture, art, and culture through firsthand experiences. She later completed her MBA before launching a career in New York City’s fast-paced financial world — a path that took her around the world and exposed her to a wide range of professional cultures and leadership styles.

Anna and her husband of 28 years, Harrison Murray, have two adult children who are thriving in their own careers, and their daughter is a Division I volleyball coach following her playing career in the SEC and the Sunbelt. The family shares a love of travel and meeting new people, sports, and lifelong learning.

Today, Anna leads SC Elite with that same global perspective, thoughtful leadership, and heartfelt investment in people. Whether mentoring athletes through the college recruitment process, expanding the club’s reach, or building a culture rooted in excellence, her commitment to developing players — both on and off the court — continues to elevate SC Elite to new heights.
