A native of Long Island, New York, Adria was a four-year starter at Florida State University, where she played as a six-rotation middle blocker and, at times, as a defensive specialist. During her collegiate career, Florida State achieved an RPI ranking of No. 18 and made two NCAA Tournament appearances. Adria was recognized as the ACC Player of the Week for her standout performance in a match against NC State and spent her fifth year at FSU as an assistant coach under legendary head coach Cecile Reynaud.

Before her time at Florida State, Adria was a three-sport athlete at West Hampton Beach High School, competing in volleyball, basketball, and tennis. She played club volleyball for LIBA (Long Island Big Apple) and continued to compete after college, joining Creole Volleyball Club for indoor play and transitioning into beach volleyball.

Adria's passion for the game extended into her personal life when she met her husband, Jake Elliott, through beach volleyball. Jake previously coached in the sand program at the College of Charleston and competed for eleven years on the AVP professional tour and was then considered one of the top sand players on the East Coast.

Together, Adria and Jake have three children. Their daughter, Maggie Elliott, continues the family’s volleyball legacy as a sophomore outside hitter at West Virginia University  after having spent her freshman year as a member of the University of South Carolina’s indoor and beach volleyball team.

Adria brings elite-level playing experience, coaching knowledge, and a deep love for the game to every team and athlete she works with at SC Elite.
