Jonathan Brady

Master Coach, Attacking, 14s Coach & Director of the SC Elite Beach Volleyball Program

With over two decades of experience coaching and playing indoor and outdoor volleyball, Jonathan brings an unmatched level of energy, expertise, and commitment to the athletes he trains. Jonathan has coached across nearly every level of the game — from middle and high school teams to NCAA Division I, Division III, and NAIA collegiate programs. His comprehensive understanding of the sport has shaped SC Elite’s philosophy of high-level skill development, competitive culture, and player-first coaching.

experience

Before founding SC Elite, Jonathan served as an assistant coach at Niagara University in the MAAC conference, where he helped lead the team to a third-place finish at the conference championships. His impact extended well beyond the win column, playing a pivotal role in the development of standout libero Rylee Hunt, who was named MAAC Libero of the Year during his season on staff.

Jonathan also holds a B.S. in Childhood Education from Buffalo State College and a Master’s in Sport Management with a certificate in Athletic Administration, pairing his coaching credentials with a strong foundation in education and leadership. He is a USAV BCAP II Certified Coach  (Beach Coaching Accreditation Program) and has coached top-tier beach athletes as a lead coach for the Rocky Mountain Region (RMR) Elite Beach Team in 2017 and 2018.

As a player, Jonathan has competed at the Open level in both beach and grass, participating annually in the U.S. Adult Open National Volleyball Championships and achieving top 10 national rankings in AVP America’s Men’s AA Grass Division.

Jonathan started SC Elite in 2019 before he turned over ownership to Anna Murray in July of 2025, and we are forever grateful for his relentless passion, technical knowledge, and a contagious love for the game. Jonathan and his wife, Lauren, have one son, Waters, and a dog named Utah. When not on the court, they enjoy camping, road trips, and (adventurously) cooking — and love spending time meeting new people wherever they go.
